Aweil Women Association (AWA) was founded in April 2025 by a group of dedicated women committed to creating a stronger future for families in the United States and South Sudan.
Established through the leadership and determination of mothers, AWA was created to empower women, support youth, and invest in the next generation through education, community development, and advocacy. Our vision is to create opportunities through programs that support education, healthcare, food security, and community advancement.
In the United States, AWA is committed to helping immigrant families thrive by providing resources such as English language support, financial literacy, employment guidance, and community connections. We also support youth through mentorship, leadership development, and initiatives that encourage positive choices and brighter futures.
Our work extends to South Sudan, where AWA supports initiatives focused on education, nutrition, healthcare, and sustainable community development. Through partnerships and community-led efforts, we aim to strengthen families, improve access to resources, and create lasting opportunities for future generations.
As AWA continues to grow, we remain dedicated to building a strong network of members, volunteers, and supporters who share our vision of empowerment, service, and community impact. Together, we are creating a legacy of hope and opportunity for generations to come.
